'Your Favorites' 
Die Bereznitsky Galerie in Berlin zeigt im April die neue Produktion der Revision Group. In der Ausstellung werden
sowohl Teil I und II, als auch das neue Projekt 'Your Favorites' vorgestellt.
REVISION ist das Ergebnis der Zusammenarbeit der so genannten „Partner für die Kunst" bestehend aus den
Künstlern Andrei Dureika, Janna Grak, Andrei Loginov, Maxim Tyminko, Maxim Wakultschik aus der Ukraine und
Weißrussland. Sie alle haben ein klassisches Kunststudium in Minsk absolviert und wechselten danach an die Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie.
Nicht ihre Werke, sondern die Künstler selbst, sind in dem neuen Projekt "Your Favorites" die Objekte der Revision. Die
Arbeiten, die ihren Titel der Bürokratiesatire "Der Revisor" von Gogol verdanken, entstehen aus einer Vielzahl von
Fotografien, Reproduktionen, Found Footage und Selbstportraits, die zu riesigen Fotomontagen verarbeitet werden.
Diese erzählen fabelhaft verdrehte Geschichte des Bildermachens und der Bildbetrachtung, ernst, tiefgründig und selbstironisch zu gleich.

Bereznitsky Gallery in Berlin presents the latest project from the Revision Group `Your Favorites`together with the Part I and Part II, opening on the 5th of April.
Revision is a collective of contemporary Ukrainian and Byelorussian artists: Andrei Dureika, Janna Grak, Andrei Loginov,
Maxim Tyminko and Maxim Wakultschik, who work collaboratively under the banner 'Partners for Art'. They all
completed the classical study of art in Minsk and went on to work at the renowned Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. In
today's art world, it is their very position as artists that becomes the object of their work and that is under revision.
The group's name derives from the 1836 play Revizor, written by Nikolaj Gogol. Reminiscent of Gogol's satirical critique
of bureaucracy, their works develop from a multiplicity of photographs and reproductions, found footage and self
-portraits, which are converted into enormous photo- assemblages which tell the marvellously cyclical narratives of
their artistic processes. These 'postmodern history paintings' or comedies of error self-consciously ironise and comment upon the position of artistic culture.
The new project Your Favorites develops the themes of the group's preceding works such as the self-aware and
humorous play with the mechanisms and hermeneutic games that define the production and historicisation of art; a
parody of revisionism. Your Favorites is dedicated to various artists, whose influence is understood to have had a tremendous impact on the formation of the leading tendencies within the visual arts.
